Earlier, this evening the Paul Robeson Community School for the Arts in New Brunswick, NJ, hosted an inspiring essay contest. A big thanks to our Paul Robeson Alliance partner, Jim Savage, Rutgers Class of '71 President, for making this event possible!
Twenty-five talented students competed, and the top 10 winners took home cash prizes! As a Paul Robeson Alliance member, Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion was honored to be a part of the selection process and co-sponsor for the event. Congratulations Mariel!!
Special thanks to Susan Robeson, Paul Robeson's granddaughter, for selecting the winners. Every participant received a copy of Paul Duberman's “Paul Robeson, No One Can Silence Me” and a custom bookmark from Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion. We also donated additional copies to the school library to continue inspiring young minds.
