Congratulations to Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion’s very own, Davie Lyn Jones-Evans for being recognized as a 2024 Historic Preservation and History Awardee from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission in the category of History publication in Somerset County!
Davie Lyn, along with several other awardees and organizations were presented with plaques by the Somerset County Commission yesterday evening. She was recognized for her blog work “At Home with History” published on the Medium.com platform. A light reception in the atrium preceded the awards presentation hosted at the County Administration Building on Grove Street in Somerville, New Jersey.
We extend our appreciation to Mrs. Marge Sullivan, Cultural & Heritage Commissioner, for the thoughtful nomination. Davie Lyn serves as UCP Secretary and lead historian. Her blog work and research often supplement the work/exhibits curated by Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion.
